Anne gains inspiration from many different areas. However the Earth from a geographer’s viewpoint is a recurring theme and takes many different forms, but particularly ideas taken from maps.

Anne is also interested in the narrative journey of people in a place and time. Words and phrases will be seen within this context as they are an important part of the research in the development of the embroidered pieces.

Working with the fabric is an inspiration in itself and so most of Anne’s work is hand-stitched. This makes each piece unique.
